Notes

Note
Spelling variations on early documents were, Corbet, Corbett, Corbit, Corbitt. Sometimes 2 or 3 variations on same document. Probably born in Northern Ireland, Ulster ‎(referred to as a Scotch-Irish emigrant in History of Bucks County p529)‎. His family would have come from Scotland to Ulster c 1606-1700. Coming to America c 1717, he settled in Northampton Township, Bucks County, PA. were he farmed about 30 acres of land. He probably married in Ireland also as he ordered money sent to his daughter Phebe who was in Ireland, according to his will.
